Conrad Cairo is now Sofitel!

I was just sitting down to tell you all about our super fancy hotel in Cairo- the Hilton Conrad Cairo- come to find out it has permanently closed!

The property is very nice with several beautiful restaurants inside. According to my research online, Hilton is closing the property and it will be taken over by Sofitel.

The lobby is absolutely gorgeous and I can tell you this hotel had the most comfortable beds I had ever experienced. We had a nice patio overlooking the nile, and the buffet was absolutely delicious! I hope the new hotel will be just as nice.

We didn’t explore the neighborhood outside the hotel, but it appeared there was a nice walkway along the nile in the evening with lit up party boats that cruised the Nile at night. The hotel also had a gorgeous rooftop bar with amazing views! I hope the new Sofitel hotel is just as nice!
